What is CranioSacral Therapy?
CranioSacral Therapy (CST) is a light touch approach the will create dramatic changes in your body and your life. It releases tensions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction. Every day you endure stresses and strains and your body absorbs them. Occasionally, you experience other traumas to your body, like falls, sprains, car accidents, braces. These all add up and your body can only handle so much tension. Eventually, the tissues begin to tighten and potentially affect the brain, spinal cord and every other system in your body. CST releases those tensions to allow the entire body to relax and self-correct. Using a gentle touch, practitioners evaluate your internal environment. Light-touch techniques are then used to release any restriction that they find.

At Everyday Miracles, Susan practices Upledger CranioSacral Therapy
We work with babies, children of all ages and adults.

CST is frequently recommended for adults to relieve stress.  It is a very gentle and blissful experience for most people.  It is also very effective for the following conditions.

  • Migraines and Headaches
  • Chronic Neck and Back Pain
  • Stress and Tension Disorders
  • Motor-Coordination Impairments
  • Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Fibromyalgia
  • TMJ Syndrome
  • Scoliosis
  • Central Nervous System Disorders
  • Post-traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Orthopedic Problems

What can I expect in a adult Session?
You will remain fully clothed as you relax on a comfortable, warm, padded table. Our rooms are quiet and peaceful. Your therapist begins by evaluating the flow of your Cranio-sacral rhythm by using gentle holds to the head and other parts of the body. By carefully "listening" with the hands to locate areas of weak fluid flow or tissue motion, your therapist will attempt to trace this to the original source of the dysfunction. Delicate manual techniques are then used to release the problem area and improve the flow and balance of the cranio-sacral rhythm. What you will experience from your own session is highly individual. Most people feel a deep sense of relaxation and drift into an alpha state. You will probably notice that your whole body becomes more relaxed and chronic pain dissipates. Some notice a warmth or gentle pulsations moving through the body. Whatever your experience, all you need to do is relax and allow your body to self-correct.  CST can also be used for healing process of releasing emotions from the body.  This process is called Somato-Emotional Release.  SER is generally used to facilitate healing of old conditions or traumas.  It can be a life changing event.

Testimonials
Jennifer B says:
I first went to Ta'mus for massage for low back pain. After years of massage therapy, I can say that this was the most effective massage session I had ever experienced. After the session, he suggested I try craniosacral therapy, thinking I may find better relief through this therapy. Susan stepped right in and I haven't looked back! Craniosacral therapy is absolutely amazing. The results are practically instant, and the best part - progressive! Susan is obviously commited to her work, and she provides just the right mix of professionalism, expertise, and gentle guidance. For anyone who has tried and tried with no results - craniosacral with Susan is for you! 8/2/10  Jenifer B

Susan, I can't thank you enough for the AMAZING Cranial-Sacral massage you gave me on Saturday. I had been plagued with severe and long lasting headaches since my car crash 20 months ago. On Saturday when you gave me the Cranial-Sacral treatment, I was speechless... you got rid off a 3 day old heachache in just 1 hour.... Not to mention, that I had not been that relaxed in over 3 years. I CAN'T WAIT TO TELL OTHERS ABOUT YOUR AMAZING HANDS & SERVICES. MAY GOD BLESS YOU!!!
